do some scrapping, of any type, today? If all goes well, after errands and school, I can get to work on some swaps and layouts. I am thinking of participating in another scrap stash contest for September, though I am already behind as it started 9/1 and I haven't yet Mailing today - some long overdue RAK's and prizes, so if you were on a list to receive one from me and didn't yet, it should be there the end of this week/first of next.

how do you store yours? Just curious as I have been putting a piece of folded paper or sticky note on with the color. I have the wonderful swatch book which helps me figure a lot out, but once I figure them out, I can't seem to just put them away without some sort of note. Anyone else like this, or am I just nuts

I received my prize from the 11 Days of Scrapbooking!!! Everything was wonderful. I so needed some cute travel stuff to finish up our summer trip. the closest lss has their adhesive refills for $2 (I still love the Tombo stuff), so I just have to "force" myself to run up and buy some LOL They also have DCWV stacks for $8.98, so I bet at least one of those will make its way into my cart. off to get ready to go

glue or something to the start and finish points? Just curious. Finished up the layouts for Melody;s pages (sorry I am late everyone - but they will make it to the mailbox Monday morning - still cutting one set of letters, had to get another piece of paper I need to plan way better). However - when I did the zig zag stitch on the edge of one piece, it just seemed very, very loose. Curious - do you start with some adhesive somewhere or just add glue? I added clear liquid (photo safe) ...

Why are copics so expensive?

I have been browsing several creative blogs this evening, and I have seen lots of beautiful work done with copic markers. So I started thinking maybe I needed some, then I looked at the prices. Why are they so expensive? I have a couple of black copic pens and I prefer my zig to them. I just really wonder if they are worth the price, and then I see how nice they make stamped images look.

Check out this whale breaching and carrying on in Australia. When we did our whale watch a few years ago we must have been looking at some half dead whales, b/c sheesh! We barely got to see a few flukes in the air. Whale This was a trip of a lifetime. BTW, has anyone watched the show "Whale Wars"? It makes me so sad most times I watch.

Glossy Accents vs Crystal Lacquer

any comments? I wanted crystal lacquer, product I have used for years, but they were out. I am trying glossy accents - I don't like the applicator tip as well, but it looks like I can put my old one from crystal lacquer on the top of the bottle.

I have heard it works on alcohol inks - any experiences with it in this manner?

after hearing all the good things everyone has said about these - I finally broke down and bought one. It was tough - between the Ranger and Zing - same price and everything, but the sample color on the Zing looked better for some deer I am putting on things.

I didn't purchase, just didn't need anymore solid, flat, cardstock, but they had 100 count packs for $4!!! Before I left for vacation, I found a crop-n-style paper packer for $3 and some Brand new in packages Jolee's for $ .49 each. Wow - never found that much scrappy stuff at thrift stores before - was in looking for a used portfolio case (ds taking art and I hate to purchase new for a semester if he doesn't enjoy). No case, but lots of fun stuff
