The cherry blossoms started blooming end of March/early April. Peak viewing was in early April.

Whoops - sometimes I forget that not everyone has the same growing season Smile

Ours are just getting ready to bloom - usually around Mother's day we get one or two phenomenal viewing days, then a big gust of wind Smile. I keep walking in our small "grove" of them and looking - they are getting ready Smile

Well going with the "satisfying" clue. I'd say ate at a restaurant?

Is your hotel in Dupont Circle? DH and I did DC like tourists last Labor Day weekend and we stayed at The Dupont Hotel right on the circle.

Have a great trip. Except for periods of rain the weather should be good this weekend. DH and I are heading to a step show at the Kennedy Center tomorrow, then we're stopping by the Smithsonian Arts and Crafts Show. If you can persuade your DH to join you, the Smithsonian A&C Show is a do-not-miss event each year for the crafty.
