I thought this was cute how she put this multi-page spread together

Think I will do some looking through pics and try something similar (though kids aren't old enough to know what they will be yet
) Maybe I can find old pics of dh? LOL

Re: When I grow up layout
I did an album like this for our oldest son when he graduated from college. I had about 50 pictures of him from over the years (one was him sitting in a skillet that I labeled Chef) and it ended with him standing with his degree and then him in his fire fighting outfit(called turnouts) He graduated with a masters in fire sciences.

Cool - do you have pics to share?
I didn't know there was a degree called fire sciences - sounds like it would be pretty interesting.

He has it so next time I see him I will borrow it to take a few pictures. Fire science is so you can go on and become a arson investigator. He decided to become an advanced paramedic instead. It is the equivalant of an RN but in emergency medicine.

Re: When I grow up layout
That would be great. I would love to see them!
As far as firefighting - we got to see guys training - lighting fires in different ways/putting them out then seeing what happens/results/what to look for - when we were growing up. Anytime there was an old house or building to come down - a whole bunch of people would show up to learn. I remember the last one I saw - definitely got the message across how dangerous it can be and how things can get out of hand. They were demonstrating something and it got out of control really quick - glad there were so many people on hand or it could have been pretty bad. All the sudden it was no longer training - we were watching (outside building of course) and all the sudden you could tell something was wrong - one whole side of building went up really quick and supervisors were getting people out of the building and the large trucks that were standing ready were in full action.
Ds is taking an emergency prep type course (leaves tomorrow - it is a one week intensive training) to get him so that he only has one more course to become an emt. Not paramedic for a long time yet (I know that requires a lot more than one week of training
), but who knows, maybe he will decide in that direction. He is only 19 right now, so will be interesting to see what he thinks when he gets done. He needs it for his summer job (guide in boundary waters). It is beyond the Wilderness Survival/First Aid and CPR classes we took (those were only 3 days).
Hmm - now I think I need to remember to take some pics next time I visit family in IL. My grandfather collected old fire engines - we used to go for rides all the time with him. I don't think I have any pictures of the trucks - I need to get some. He passed away 5 years ago, but Grandma still has his trucks.

Re: When I grow up layout
What a great idea! So far I have an aspiring astronaut and scientist, and an aspiring paramedic, firefighter and astronaut (she wants to be all 3, and probably will! she's pushy! LOL). I think that a small album like that would make a great grad gift someday! Now I'm inspired!
TFS!!
