Re: First Quarter Challenge
I took all my fibers and placed them in the ribbon keeper. It was quite a challenge but I got it done. Eack color was placed close together when I pulled it through the hole so I wouldn't have to hunt all over for a specific color. At least I don't have boxes all over with fibers in them and it's right with my real ribbon keeper so I can use them up. Woo hoo!

Rubber stamps: I have a ton of them. Am taking them off the wood blocks and using a medium to turn them into stamps to use with clear blocks. I then put each set or stamp into a clear CD case and label. I have a perfect bookcase for them and they are organized by stamp company and subject. I am also stamping an image on a sheet for a notebook binder to list the specifics (name, company etc) and use that as my master list. Lots of work initially but the results are going to be absolutely space saving and convenient.

I like the idea of the image notebook. I'm trying to convince my kids to help with this one when they are bored!

I am so glad you liked the idea of a notebook. It really saves a LOT of time when working on a project and you're trying to find the right image to stamp. I wish I had a couple of kids to help me. My dog just can't seem to get the hang of pressing the stamp into the ink. LOL.

Re: First Quarter Challenge
My dog chewed the block when she 'attempted' to help LOL
Kids actually did this for me when we first started getting a lot of stamps - they just used a regular notebook and filled it about 2/3 full. I have it on the desk - no indicators of company and all - love that aspect. I do like the notebook - it is amazing how many stamps I forget I have.
I keep thinking it would be fun to put into groups (snow related, theme, etc), but that is a pretty huge project! It will be so worth it when it is completed.

I'm interested in taking my stamps off of their wooden bases

Re: First Quarter Challenge
One lady I know carefully heated hers (then realized, that setting them in a sunny window did the same thing).
Then window cling on the back
Then window cling on the back

it is like the stuff that you can hang on windows. Plastic also works, but this stuff is fairly cheap and at another store you can visit during retreat time
all stamping, but some cool things - I like that I can order online and no shipping when I put I will pick up at the store

Re: First Quarter Challenge
Don't forget - if you complete swaps with stash only, you can count them towards this special project portion!!!
