Crop Goodie Bag Question

Post by Scraprageous on Wed Jan 05, 2011 9:40 am

If you have ever gone to a fundraising crop (I have only been to one that cost more than $20 and they had gifts) - even if not

How does this sound for a gift bag? Food/snacks are donated, so is the site. Actually, gifts will be as well, but I am to assemble within a set amount.

I was thinking - two methods, but below are the items they would receive

3 pages coordinating patterned paper
2 pages of matching cardstock
1 sheet of letter stickers (many newbie scrappers)
1 yard of ribbon
3 embellishments (3-d or layered)
12 x 12 plastic bag or holder thing (depends on price)
2 pre-made journal items (flat)
stamp of some type (probably not acrylic unless I find a good deal on blocks) Maybe even the $1 alphabet sets from Studio G/Target if I get lucky shopping.

Distribution
I could pre-assemble all of these items and put into bags, but that is so "standard".

I was thinking of a line - get your holder item, then choose your own for all of the above - I would just make little signs that say how many of each.

If you were at a crop, which would you prefer? I have done both and the pre-assemble is quicker (maybe just make pre-assemble bags and they pick those?)

thanks for your help

I think the pre-assembled is nice, especially with newbie scrapbookers.

Sounds nice and I would probably go the pre-assembled way too.

Took a while, but I have it figured out. $$ is tighter once we figured the food budget (fresh veggies and all aren't cheap, but I know we have a lot of people who want them), so I had $1.50 per person for a gift. If I use a few of my scraps to make some embellishments - what do you think:

1) I found these papers (We R Memory Keepers Old Glory Collection)

2) two pieces of coordinating blue cardstock (doublemates ocean blue)

3) 8 star brads (just regular bazzill brads)

4) I am die cutting letters from the same doublemates cardstock - keystone cartridge - two sets of alpha's plus additional r, s, t, l, n, e

5) making two layered embellishments from Independence day cartridge - making one paperclip embellishment as well (providing I remember to pick up glue dots - can't believe I have forgotten them twice).

Anyway - if I make some pieces - I can keep cost close to the level we need - does that sound like a nice gift pack? I plan to put everything into a 2 gallon ziploc and make some little card or something to attach the baggie of letters, brads and embellishments.

That paper is adorable and it is so nice of you to make the embellishments. I would be thrilled to receive all that.

Here's an idea: what about making a sample layout from the goodie bag to show newbies some ideas? I don't know if you have any extra suppplies.

Great idea - If I have time, I will do that.

I didn't get extra's of everything, but I did of the paper (the blue cardstock came in a pack of 50, so I bought the extra)

Here are the 'extras' that I made. I forgot about some of them.

photo isn't so hot -- I really, really, really need to find my camera - it isn't a fancy one, and I have the card, but I know how to use it and would prefer it to using the one I can find.
