Mojo Left? Maybe this will help lure him back
Having troubles making anything look the way I want these days, ran across this and I think it is helping
so I thought I would share -- especially as I figure we will be snowed in for a portion of tomorrow
My ideas came from a 2004 simple scrapbooks magazine - step it up section
What you will need:
Option 1 - 5 minutes
between 3 and 7 photos
1 sheet cardstock (2 if 7 photos and do a two page spread)
one coordinating cardstock for journaling
Cut a 11.5" x 2" piece of coordinating cardstock - write a title (with pen/ink/marker) at the top of left hand page. Center 4 photos on that page.
For the right hand page - arrange the three photos into a similar format as the left page, only in the space of the fourth photo, add your journaling onto a piece of coordinating cardstock cut the same size as a photo.
Option 2 - 10 minutes[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
7 photos
2 sheets cardstock
1 sheet patterned paper
1 sheet coordinating cardstock
2 brads
Using patterned paper, cut a 12" x 3" piece for the right hand page and a 12" x 2" piece for the left hand page
From the coordinating cardstock, cut a piece 11.25" x 1.25" - add title with marker/pen or even sticker letters. Mount to the 12" x 2" piece of cardstock. Add a brad to either side. Mount at the top of one piece of cardstock.
Mount the other 12" x 3" piece of patterned paper to the other piece of cardstock approximately 1" from the bottom.
Option 3 - 20 minutes

In addition to the above, add two more sheets of cardstock in the coordinating color
a tag (or 2 or three) for journalling
hole punch (circle - standard page size)
chalks or inks
sewing machine (optional)
2 more brads
three, 12" pieces of coordinating ribbon.
Cut each background piece of cardstock down to 11.5 x 11.5". Chalk or ink the corners/edges of this piece. Adhere to the coordinating cardstock.
Title: complete the same as option two, however, the pp should be 11" x 2", the cardstock should be 10.25" x 1.25" before adding brads, add a line of stitches around the piece of plain cardstock.
Mount the title piece approximately 1/2" down from the top of the background cardstock.
Take the four pictures for the left hand page - determine their size and mount all four together, sides touching, onto a single piece of coordinating cardstock. Make this square if possible. Punch a small hole in the photo and mat approximately 1/4" down and in from the outer edges. At the top, outer corner of each photo - tie a simple knot using a 3" piece of ribbon. Vary the ribbons.
For the right hand page, cut a piece of patterned paper 11.5" x 3". Adhere 1/4" up from the bottom cardstock and adhere along the two edges and bottom. Leave the top open for tags/journaling.
Across the top of the pp, add a piece of ribbon - use brads on either end to mount it to the cardstock base.
Mount two of the photos onto carstock. Add holes at the right hand side of each, 1/4" down from the top of each photo. Add ribbon to each photo. Mount this piece to the right hand side of the page.
For the other photo - add a hole 1/4" from the top and left - add a ribbon. mount without backing to the cardstock in the upper left area of the right hand page.
add a piece of ribbon to each tag, add journalling as necessary. Tuck the tags into the pocket formed with the piece of pp mounted on the bottom of the right hand page.
viola!

I found the pages and they helped me, so I hoped they would help others too.
