glue holds up over time in a scrapbook album?

Just curious - recall some glitter hot glue sticks I have and thought they might give some really cool accents on pages. Anyone ever tried it before?

Hot glue seems to stick pretty good to paper and if I remember right, it will tear the paper if you pull the glue off.
