April Stash Reduction BONUS

Post by Scraprageous on Fri Apr 08, 2011 8:24 am

Thought about a lot of things, but going with my absolute favorite here - create something!

Yeah, right, real helpful - huh? Smile

Ok - more specifically - create something from scraps only! Embellishments like ribbon, bling, beads, inks and all don't have to be from scraps, but the papers do. See what you can come up with.

My example is below [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

  1. Background paper - scrap that I was testing punch depth on and did both sides
  2. Heart and key - 'leftover' from a sizzix die cut - I needed the outer edge of the heart for a swap
  3. Tickets - 'leftover' from a card I made - had to buy a roll, now to use them up Smile
  4. Flower - 'leftover' from a swap - embossed and inked - then cut out - just fun
  5. brown paper behind heart - leftover bo-bunny dot paper from a swap at some point - not sure, but just a scrap in the drawer
  6. Skittles and Ribbon - both 'new' but stash items. Used ribbon for a layout - now have extra, same with skittles. Smile

Now your turn - there are advantages to not clearing your desk 100% after each layout (ok - just the one above LOL - I need to do better), but it is amazing what happens when you shop just your work area after completing a few projects. I have a small shelf that these things go onto until I sort them by color/item - just 'shopped' there and came up with this. Way fun!

Love this hobby Smile

Another one - can you tell I have been playing with my newest punch? It is one of Martha's punch around the page - only a bit deeper than my other ones, so I have been playing.

Shh fufufu don't tell, but that tag that says Far Away Places (only about 3 or 4 years old) is actually covering up a spot where I learned you need to be pretty exact with the punches. There is one other error in punching, but if you don't look close, I bet you miss it :[-O<:

ps - by newer punch - I may have just disqualified myself Embarassed Embarassed I think I got it in February while going to a retreat (good think I am not participating in the prize portion). Oh well - you get the idea - use what you have as scraps and create Smile

New "rule" will be added - by stash - I mean consumables, not things like new cartridges, dies, embossing folders, punches, etc.. Make sense?
