For polar plunge this year we were butterflies and caterpillars - the 'missing body part' was one of the legs that had fallen off a costume. We were walking back to the hotel , after jumping in the ocean and turned around - and just saw it there on the ground - starting laughing and of course took a pic.

reminds me of one of the Girl Scouts when we were camping - one was chasing the other around with what she claimed was the leg of a spider - not that we could really see it, but it was funny (hidden smiles as we talked about what is and is not appropriate behavior)
