Thank you goes to J3lybn (Kelsey) for this month's great challenges! Get your thinking hats on!!


Challenge One - I can't wait to see the results from her first challenge, so I am giving a bit of leaway on the due date. You will have until February 14th to post your results to count for challenge one. *
Create an album of any size by using a recycled item. I've made them
from grahm cracker boxes, cassette tapes, matchbooks, those sample
credit cards, anything at all, really. The more unusual, the better! (PS - these need to be NEWLY created albums - made this February)

Challenge Two - something easy while you are working on the first one - use a swap! Due Date February 4th.

Challenge Three - Create a layout, card, tag, etc WITHOUT using scissors or any cutting tool whatsoever. (tear it, rip it, etc.). Can't wait to see this one - better have those pics (if you use them) printed the right size before hand Due Date February 11th

Challenge Four - It may be cliche, but since it is February (and Valentine's Day was the 14th), use something pink in a layout. Due Date February 17th

Challenge Five - I'm ready for Spring. Use flowers- real or artificial- in a scrappy project. Due Date February 20th.

Challenge Six - Keep it simple - create a layout using four photos! Due Date February 24th.

Challenge Seven - It is leap year, so somehow incorporate the word (or a picture) of leap/leaping or hop/hopping or jump/jumping (or any other jump/hop/leap word - grab a thesaurus if you want) - you get the idea into your layout. Due Date February 29th!

Challenge Prize Winners - this has been unique this month. Rather than move everything to a random generator, I assigned all participants a number and asked someone to roll the dice for each day. Three different times we had to re-roll because that person hadn't done the challenge. Think I am going back to the random generator. Works the same way, but then I don't feel bad for someone not doing a challenge. LOL

I made this for DD at JMU - just a little something for her to have - to look at when ever she feels the need to

very easy to clean out - just popped the mirror out with a sharp knife

I used cuts from a few different swaps to make cards for the monthly card swap on the CMB, I think they all turned out really cute ... and all the patterned paper was from scraps too

As normal - I am running late on posting. Love using swaps! Once getting into the swing of using them, it sure moves along more quickly .

For my recycled item I used a Jello box. The grandbabies love Jello Jigglers and I had some photos from Christmas of 2010. I made a mini that holds 10 photos

Well I started making an album, but I don't use them and it's been a week since I touched it! I'm thinking if I post a picture of it, maybe I can get motivated in actually finishing it...lol!

Again using my cell phone for pictures, time to research a new camera (the new one now has a broken view screen - oh bother).

Took an old frame with broken glass - added some pages (there are now 6 to flip through)

Whew cutting it close- 11:55 am

I made a mini album for Beau as a Valentine's Day gift- it's our 8th one together <3

Yes the pages are attached to the cassette, I tried to take the cassette apart & take the tape out so I could put the pages inside, but the plastic wouldn't budge. It still fits in the case (sort of). It will slide in on one side, but since I didn't poke holes in the middle of the papers, the case won't close.
Didn't think that one through.

That came out great!!!!
