Flower Swap - Closed Due March 31

We are closed and the flowers are due to me by March 31.


I'm really bad at using things that I get in swaps, but I'm trying harder. I do however use the flowers I get in swaps, I put flowers on everything and I love having a variety and love learning new styles.

So, you will make 5 sets of 5 flowers each, they do not need to be identical, but they should 'go', the idea being that you can use them all on the same project and they will work. If you want a set for yourself, make 6 and keep one. If you happen to make amazing leaves to go with your flowers, one flower could be replaced by leaves.

There are no size restrictions but be reasonable, if you make flowers that are less than .5" make 10 and not 5.

Place each set in a baggie with your name on it and mail them to me. I will make the due date 6 weeks after I close the swap. Regular rules for return postage, but since flowers can be chunky the 5.35 box is probably the way to go.

Karen, I don't really have samples cause I want everyone to do their own thing, I don't want to steer everyone to similar flowers ... there are hundreds of flower tutorials on you-tube...

I'll take a picture of some of my swap flowers and post it ... there are lots of different ones

Updated to here ... and here is a picture of some flowers that I have received in various swaps ... some are paper, some ribbon, some fabric ... the black one doesn't show up well but it was done on an embroidery machine

QUESTION...IS THE SIZE YOU PUT .5"=1/2" OR WERE YOU SAYING 5"????

ok, so inquiring minds need to know - any pics or links to burlap flowers? I really am trying to imagine, but that is the last fabric I think of when starting flowers

I have lots of burlap around (two colors even - from bags for fleece/working on deer stands, etc.) - really, really curious about how those could become flowers

Yep - dh would just laugh if I found yet another use for something he uses as an everyday item

There is a you tube tutorial if you put in burlap flowers. However, I think the ones Terri made were even prettier. Maybe when she gets back from her vacation she can post them.

I don't think we'll have any more, but I'll leave this open till Monday Feb 20 and they will be due to me on March 31, and I will return them on April 7,
